TRICARE changes effective 1JAN18

Beginning January 1, there will be changes to the TRICARE benefit. In addition to instituting an open-enrollment period, the changes will expand beneficiary choice, improve access to network providers, simplify beneficiary copayments, and enhance administrative efficiency. If you plan to enroll in coverage effective January 2018 you’ll need to complete enrollment by November 20, 2017, as there will be an enrollment freeze during December 2017 as TRICARE transitions to the new system. Scholarships for Military Children

Defense Commissary Agency is Offering Scholarships for Military Children! Enrollment opens December 15th. Military families have two scholarships (listed below) designed just for military kids to help ease rising college costs. The Fisher House Foundation administers the Scholarships for Military Children Program and the Heroes’ Legacy Scholarship. Attending college in the spring and need tuition money? The Education Foundation for the Colorado National Guard is accepting applications for the spring semester from December 15-February 1. Be sure to have your FAFSA confirmation on hand as the application requires that you enter the EFC from your FAFSA.
