Holiday Meal Donation
Everyone goes through rough patches in their lives, including the Service Men and Women of the Colorado Air and Army National Guard. With the help of your generous donations, the Foundation strives to relieve some of that burden around the holiday season by coordinating holiday meals for those that might not otherwise be able to afford it.
The CONG Foundation utilizes donations from people or organizations, such as yourself, to support Service Members and Families in need. Your donation of either check or grocery gift cards will help bring smiles to the faces of those in need this holiday season! Based upon the need expressed by the Families and the amount of support received from the community, holiday meals may be offered during both late November and late December. Either way, you can be assured that your donation will be greatly appreciated. Meal assistance donations must be received by November 15th to assist with the Thanksgiving holiday or by December 11th to assist with the December holidays.
How Can I Help?
Your support can be shown by making a donation to the Colorado National Guard Foundation, in the name of the “Holiday Meals 2017,” and your contribution is tax-deductible!

Why Do We Prefer to Provide Grocery Gift Cards Instead of Meals?
Grocery gift cards are the most cost and time efficient method of providing holiday meal support. Service Members of the Colorado National Guard live all over the state of Colorado, and even outside of the state! By mailing gift cards to the recipients we are able to
-Conserve participant fuel expenses
-Conserve participant time
-Eliminate worries about refrigeration and storage before distribution
-Eliminate worries about proper food handling during distribution
-Eliminate diet-restriction complications (i.e. diabetic, vegetarian, or gluten-free concerns)
All donations made to the Holiday Meals Program, in any form, are tax deductible as they are made to the Colorado National Guard Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
