2018 Holiday Programs

Everyone needs a little assistance every now and then. The Colorado National Guard Family Program is once again partnering with the Colorado National Guard Foundation, Inc., to aid Colorado National Guard Service Members and Families in need. Our combined goal is to make sure that every Air and Army Colorado National Guard Service Member has the opportunity to have a wonderful holiday season.

Holiday Meal Assistance

This program uses generous donations from fellow Guardsmen and community partners to help supply meals for Colorado National Guard Service Members and Families in need during the November and December holidays.

Donations are accepted through December 12 and can be dropped off or sent directly to the Family Program Office at 12200 E Briarwood Ave, Suite 160, Centennial, CO 80112.

No matter where you live or what deployment status you are in, you can register to receive meal assistance!

The Adopt-a-Family program provides dedicated holiday support to Service Members and their Families in need during the month of December. All faiths and religions are welcome to participate! The Adopt-a-Family program matches Service Members and their Families’ needs to those members of the military and community that would like to provide individualized support.

For those looking to donate, you will receive a list of needs and wants specific to the family that you ‘adopt’. All personal data is kept confidential, but you will receive information such as age and gender, likes and interests, etc. Families donating to this program will be matched with a family size that best fits their intended donation and they are encouraged to shop for items specific to their ‘adopted’ family.

For those interested in receiving some assistance for their family this year, the type of support provided is specific to the individuals who have registered. For example, those that register for the Adopt-a-Family program can specify that they need sweatshirts, size L, in dark colors. Adopt-a-Family works very well for individuals with specific needs or for Families that have children who will receive no other holiday gifts. All Colorado National Guard Service Members are invited to register their Families to be ‘adopted’ through the program!

Santa Shop

The Santa Shop program enables Service Members of the Colorado National Guard to shop (for free!) for gifts that have been graciously donated! Or just join us for the fun family festivities! Two locations are available: Denver and Colorado Springs. The Denver Santa Shop event takes place at the Denver Armory (5275 Franklin St, Denver, CO 80216) on December 15th from 9am-noon. On the same day and time, the Colorado Springs event will be hosted at the Northern Colorado Springs Readiness Center (9510 Voyager Parkway, CO Springs, CO 80920). Come enjoy holiday refreshments, meet Santa, have your picture taken in the North Pole, and celebrate the holidays with us!

*Those families that have registered for the Adopt-a-Family program are not eligible to “shop” at Santa Shop but are encouraged to come and participate in the fun and festivities.*
