MWR – Morale, Welfare and Recreation

The MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation) and Outdoor Recreation Offices are one of the many benefits that members of the Colorado National Guard have access to within both the State of Colorado and around the United States. On most military installations, there is a dedicated MWR or Outdoor Recreation building which houses a variety of things for you and your Family to do. Most MWR/Outdoor Rec locations include equipment rentals, vacation planning, and packages and discounted tickets to events.

Many MWR locations organize trips in and around the local area. In Colorado, such trips have included white-water rafting and rock-climbing. Many of these services are also available to Military Retirees! It is a good idea to call to find out what is available to you based on your service status. To find great deals, reserve your equipment rental or to find out what is going on in your area, contact the MWR nearest you! Don’t forget, if you are traveling out of state you still have access to all the MWRs on bases world-wide. A little bit of research before you travel might end up saving you a bundle!
