Sure, you can have a garage sale and make some money. There are a few problems with that. The first is that it is so dang much work. I have run them before and in my experience, it just isn’t worth it.
You have to locate everything and bring it down to your garage, you then have to put a price on every single item. Then you have to arrange all of the items and set up a date for the garage sale.
Then you have to be there for the days in to sell the items… it usually lasts all weekend.
Then what is the guarantee? What if nobody shows up? What if you simply don’t sell much of anything? Even if you end up selling some things, you probably won’t make a huge amount.
Time is money and I don’t think that all of that time that you would put in would be worth it.
There is another thing that you can do and this option will make you feel good because you’re helping other people and it will take you a fraction of the time.
