Most people who sign up to join the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) don’t quite realise what they’ve let themselves in for!
Kidding aside, PTA fundraising ideas work very well.
Sometimes also known as the PTO, the Parent Teacher Organization, it’s a group of willing parent helpers who volunteer to help with tasks as wide as helping in the classroom to raising funds for the school, as well as being essential parental involvement in the life of the school.
The aim is to keep children safe, healthy and successful within their school environment and one way of helping this happen is to raise funds for items of equipment, school trips or even new classrooms and buildings.
Running an Annual Summer Fete
One of the most popular and successful PTA fundraising ideas is the annual summer fete – where every child and many parents get involved in creating a memorable and fun event where parents and grandparents come along with the family to have fun and spend a few dollars having fun.
